De Montford University (DMU) originated as the Leicester school of art, established in 1870, and it remains to be one of the UK’s leading universities for art and design. It now offers more than 20 different arts related subjects as well as many other subjects across engineering, life sciences, business and more.
DMU achieved a Gold rating in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework. Their teaching has been described by the UK department of education as being “of the highest quality found in the UK higher education sector”. Moreover, in 2014 60% of the university’s research activities was described as world leading.
